Concept trailer for development and financing — not final footage.
After exposing a powerful company turns the public against her, a young content creator retreats to northern Thailand and falls for a perfumer who can smell sickness in trees. When his gift leads them to a threat hidden in the village, she must choose between a fresh start abroad and speaking out again to protect the community and the love she has found.
Speaking out comes at a cost to the speaker. Silence comes at a cost to everyone.
Nut, a 22-year-old content creator, once believed that exposing the truth could change things for the better. Then a video calling out a powerful company brings public outrage, legal threats, and silence from the very people she tried to help. She retreats to her grandmother’s mountain village in Nan, northern Thailand, while preparing to start a new life abroad. This time, she plans to make beautiful, harmless content and stay out of other people’s troubles.
Then she meets Tharn, a young perfumer with an extraordinary sense of smell. He detects what others miss, from the stress she tries to hide to the sickness of the Mother Tree, an ancient makhwaen tree cherished by the village. Initially irritated by his bluntness and peculiar ways, Nut slowly falls for the man who reveals an unfamiliar world through scent. Tharn, in turn, begins to let her into his carefully guarded life.
Following a trail of smells to a factory beside the forest, they discover a danger beneath the idyllic landscape. Nut decides to expose it. But the villagers she wants to protect depend on that same factory for their livelihoods. As she speaks out, those closest to her face mounting pressure, putting her grandmother’s safety, the village’s future, and Tharn’s world of scent at risk.
With a new life waiting abroad, Nut must face the question she has been trying to escape: should she leave to protect herself, or return to stand beside the people she loves—and find a way to make the truth heard without leaving them to face the consequences alone?
